Warning to Starbucks junkies who usually get a fix on their way home from work: You’re out of luck today.Starbucks plans to temporarily close its 7,100 U.S. stores on Tuesday for three hours of employee training. The coffee chain said the in-store training program which will begin at 5:30 p.m., would foster enthusiasm in its 135,000 U.S. employees and improve the quality of drinks made by Starbucks baristas.
“We believe that this is a bold demonstration of our commitment to our core and a reaffirmation of our coffee leadership,” said chief executive Howard Schultz in a statement.
Not sure what “coffee leadership” is, but I guess this is a good thing…
The article also goes on to say that other, lower-end, places are offering special deals during the 3 hour Starbucks training in order to take advantage of the Starbucks blackout. I wonder how it will work out for them…

Hi! I'm Steve Webel and this is my blog. Thanks for stopping by!

I wondered if I’d see a blog from you about this! Whatever did you do to survive during those 3 hours Steve?
He was very depressed for all 3 hours, but quickly came out of it!
Hehe - he survived just fine as we only go to Starbucks every other week these days!
