It’s hard to believe she is turning eight! I am overwhelmed with joy at the awesome person Elizabeth is turning into, while at the same time, I’m feeling very sad at how fast this is all seeming to happen!
I’m sure that in eight more years, she’ll be turning 16 and I’ll be feeling similar feelings of happiness and sadness, so I really need to just be ‘in the moment’ right now and enjoy every moment of “eight” that I can!
We had a birthday party for Elizabeth and Anna on Saturday. We started a tradition of having their ‘big’ party together since their birthdays are only a month apart. We usually have a small ‘family’ party on the day of their actual birthdays, and then we have a big party where we invite friends on a date somewhere in-between their actual birthdays. This year, we were unexpectantly celebrating their birthdays in America. We were so very grateful that there were some new friends that could come to their party and help them feel special on their ‘birthday’!

Anna turned THREE last Sunday! Wow the time sure flies! It seemed like just yesterday she was turning two!
Today is Elizabeth’s 4th birthday! Wow, she’s growing up so fast!
